Glen Ellyn, IL. (June 26, 2000) John F. Girsch, President JOHN GIRSCH & COMPANY, LLC has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute. The designation was awarded June 23, 2000 during the Institute meetings in Chicago, Illinois.

The CCIM designation is earned upon completion of a graduate-level curriculum and attainment of a level of qualifying experience. CCIM's are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and investment analysis. CCIM's form a business network encompassing 1,000 markets throughout the world. Approximately 6,500 real estate professionals currently hold the CCIM designation.

MONMOUTH, IL (Wednesday, February 2, 2000) James and Brenda Chandler, owners of Chandler Trucking on North Sixth Street have a new tenant on the main floor of their office building. Progress Alternative Secondary School will move into the space in June. The Chandlers purchased the 34,860 square foot building from Heartland Express of Coralville, Iowa on January 4, 2000. John F. John Girsch & Company Sells Heartland Express Monmouth Property
MONMOUTH, IL (Tuesday, January 4, 2000) John F. Girsch, SIOR President of John Girsch Company of Glen Ellyn, IL. (Chicago) announced the sale of the former Munson Transportation headquarters building in Monmouth, IL. to Chandler Trucking of South Main Street, Monmouth. The 34,869 square foot two story office building is part of a three building 15.62-acre corporate campus. The property was formerly owned by Heartland Express of Coralville, Iowa. John Girsch & Company was hired by Heartland Express last year to sell the campus that had been unused since 1994. Gilbert Hennenfent of Hennenfent Farm Management was the local broker.



John Girsch & Company Completes 28,500 Square Foot 6.5 Acre Industrial Sale in Monmouth, IL.
MONMOUTH, IL (Thursday, September 30, 1999) John F. Girsch SIOR, President, John Girsch & Company, Glen Ellyn, IL. (Chicago) representing Heartland Express of Coralville, Iowa announced the sale of the former Munson Transportation property at 1340 N. Sixth Street.

VSM Trucking signed a purchase agreement with Heartland Express of Coralville, Iowa in July 1999 for the 28,500 square foot truck maintenance facility on 6.5 acres. The building is located near Highway 34 in Monmouth. Governor George Ryan would like to expand Highway 34 to four lanes as part of his massive "Illinois First" infrastructure program. Former Munson Transportation Headquarters For Sale
Monmouth, IL (Thursday, May 28, 1999) Heartland Express, Inc. of Coralville, IA has hired John F. Girsch, SIOR President of John Girsch and Co. from suburban Chicago to sell or lease their property in Monmouth IL. The property was the former corporate headquarters of Munson Transportation. Heartland Express acquired the property when they purchased Munson Transportation in 1994.

Girsch is offering the property for sale as a complete campus or the office building can be purchased separately.

The corporate office has 34,860 square feet on 4.45 acres. The two-story structure has warehouse space, one drive-in door, three exterior docks, and a security system. The 28,500 square foot vehicle service repair drive-thru garage sits on 11.17 acres. It has floor drains, two in-floor repair pits, air lines, exhaust system, and an axle hose with an estimated 20,000 pound capacity. The total site is on 15.62 acres.

The location of the property adjacent to Illinois highway 34 at Route 67, in combination with the concrete parking area make the building attractive as a truck stop or any automotive use, said Girsch. The property is also appealing to automotive related users.

Because of its enterprise zone status, the property receives tax benefits on both the state and local levels.



John Girsch & Company Completes 117,373 sq. ft Industrial Transaction in West Suburban Chicago
Glen Ellyn, Illinois (Monday, April 5, 1999) John Girsch & Company, LLC completed an industrial lease transaction in Bensenville, IL. John F. Girsch SIOR, President of John Girsch & Company made the announcement.

L. Neill Cartage Company executed a 117,373 square foot lease at 794 Golf Road in Bensenville. This is a new location for the firm. The building has a double interior rail spur. It will be used for Neill's warehousing and trucking operations. The firm has their corporate headquarters in Berkeley, Illinois. John T. Suerth, William K. Frain, and Brian B. Townsend of Insignia/ESG represented ownership. John F. Girsch SIOR of John Girsch & Company represented the tenant. Girsch has represented L. Neill Cartage in other transactions in the Chicago area.
